Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) - BJA is a federal government agency belonging to the U.S. Department of Justice and resides under the Office of Justice Programs.  BJA provides leadership and services in grant administration and criminal justice policy development to support local, state, and tribal justice strategies to achieve safer communities. BJA supports programs and initiatives in the areas of law enforcement, justice information sharing, countering terrorism, managing offenders, combating drug crime and abuse, adjudication, advancing tribal justice, crime prevention, protecting vulnerable populations, and capacity building.

Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) - BJS is a federal government agency belonging to the U.S. Department of Justice and residing under the Office of Justice Programs.  It is also a principal agency of the U.S. Federal Statistical System.  BJS collects, analyzes, publishes and disseminates information on crime, criminal offenders, victims of crime, and the operation of justice systems at all levels of government.

Center for Program Evaluation and Performance Measurement - The Center for Program Evaluation and Performance Measurement is an online tool designed to assist state and local criminal justice planners, practitioners, State Administrative Agencies, researchers, and evaluators in conducting evaluations and developing program performance measures that will address the effectiveness and efficiency of their projects.  The Center is supported by the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Administration (BJA).

Crime in the United States - An annual FBI publication that compiles crime and arrest rates for law enforcement agencies across the United States through the Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program.  The UCR Program collects statistics on violent crime (murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery, and aggravated assault) and property crime (burglary, larceny-theft, and motor vehicle theft), as well as arrest rates, clearance rates, and law enforcement employee data.

U.S. Data and Statistics- USA.GOV provides access to the full range of official statistical information produced by the Federal Government including linking capabilities to more than 100 agencies that provide data and trend information on such topics as economic and population trends, crime, education, health care, aviation safety, energy use, farm production and more.

Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) - ICPSR provides leadership and training in data access, curation, and methods of analysis for a diverse and expanding social science research community.

Justice Research and Statistics Association (JRSA) - JRSA is a national nonprofit organization of state Statistical Analysis Center (SAC) directors and other researchers and practitioners throughout government, academia, and criminal justice organizations.  JRSA conducts and publishes policy-relevant research on justice issues, provides training and technical assistance and maintains a clearinghouse of state criminal justice activities.

National Consortium for Justice Information and Statistics Research (SEARCH) - The National Consortium for Justice Information and Statistics, SEARCH, is a nonprofit organization governed by a membership group of governor appointees from the 50 States, the District of Columbia, and the territories.  SEARCH has 44 years of experience supporting the information sharing, interoperability, communications, information technology, high-tech crime investigative and criminal records systems needs of State, local and tribal justice and public safety agencies and practitioners nationwide.

National Criminal Justice Reference Services (NCJRS) - NCJRS hosts one of the largest criminal and juvenile justice libraries and databases in the world, the NCJRS Abstracts Database. The collection, with holdings from the early 1970s to the present, contains more than 210,000 publications, reports, articles, and audiovisual products from the United States and around the world.
 
National Institute of Corrections (NIC) - The NIC is an agency within the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons.  NIC provides training, technical assistance, information services, and policy/program development assistance to federal, state, and local corrections agencies.

National Institute of Justice (NIJ) - NIJ is the research, development, and evaluation agency of the U.S. Department of Justice dedicated to improving knowledge and understanding of crime and justice issues through science. NIJ provides objective and independent knowledge and tools to reduce crime and promote justice, particularly at the state and local levels.

Sourcebook of Criminal Justice - The Sourcebook of Criminal Justice Statistics brings together data from more than 100 sources related to criminal justice in the United States.  These data are displayed in over 1,000 tables.  The site is updated regularly as new statistics become available.  The Sourcebook is supported by the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Statistics.

U.S. Census Bureau - U.S. Census Bureau is a principal agency of the Federal Statistical System responsible for producing data about the American people and economy.  The primary mission of the Census Bureau is conducting the U.S. Census every ten years. In addition to the decennial census, the Census Bureau continually conducts dozens of other censuses and surveys, including the American Community Survey, the U.S. Economic Census, and the Current Population Survey.

Uniform Crime Reporting Statistics - The FBI has gathered crime statistics from law enforcement agencies across the nation through the Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program since 1930. These data have been published each year, and since 1958, have been available in the publication Crime in the United States (CIUS). As a supplement to CIUS, the FBI, in cooperation with the Bureau of Justice Statistics, provides this site that allows users to build their own customized data tables.
